We are Story Exchange
Story Exchange (Pty) Ltd is an independent publisher that raises money for charity by producing and selling exceptional books. Story Exchange is not itself a charity, it is a Social Enterprise, a business that does good but also makes a profit. Our mission is to help make things better by donating 60% of our net sales proceeds, after costs and taxes, to three carefully selected South African charities. The 40% that we retain makes us sustainable. We are based in Cape Town, South Africa.

We love good books and have scoured the globe for the most original and imaginative fiction out there.
The ImagiNation Project is a collection of eighteen outstanding stories, handpicked from ten countries and six continents, spanning a diverse set of styles and genres, and published commercially for the benefit of child welfare, nature conservation and animal welfare.

We support three exceptional causes
Child Welfare
Our first beneficiary is The House Group, an inspirational children’s home which provides a safe haven to abused, abandoned and destitute girls in Johannesburg, South Africa
Nature Conservation
Our second beneficiary is the WILDTRUST, an accomplished South African environmental NPO which protects and conserves threatened ecosystems and species, through collaboration with disadvantaged local communities
Animal Welfare
Our third beneficiary is the PDSA of South Africa, a heartwarming animal welfare charity which provides veterinary services to animals from poor communities in Cape Town, George and Soweto, South Africa
